Useful Contacts

Listed below are organisations, societies and charities that offer support to those that are recently bereaved in whatever circumstances. It is not a definitive list, but is added to and changed constantly as new services become available. We would always advise that you speak with your local and family GP first as they know your situation, but for anything other than medical support we hope to have a useful organisation listed for you.

Counselling Services.

The Counselling Directory:

The purpose of the site is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help. The website also contains a number of sections on emotional disorders (types of distress section) and provides some useful statistics. Every counsellor on the site who has submitted their profile has either sent a copy of their qualifications and insurance cover to us, or is registered with a professional body online with recognised codes of ethics and practice, this way we can be assured of their professionalism. http://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/bereavement.html
